Individual Therapy

Lara provides individual therapy online via telehealth for adults. Please note that we are not a bulk billing clinic.

Initial and Subsequent Session Fee —

$240 for a 50-minute appointment

This session fee was set as of 1st January 2026. It may be noted that the current recommended fee schedule set by the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) is $330 for a 46-60 minute psychology session. We continue to strive to make therapy at Lara Beaton Psychology as accessible as possible, remaining well below this recommended fee.

Lara is able to provide psychological services under the Better Access Initiative with Medicare. You may be able to access rebates for your sessions using a valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral from your GP, accessing up to 10 rebated sessions in a calendar year. Medicare rebates with a General Psychologist are currently $98.95 per session. This leaves a gap cost of $141.05 per session.

Professional Supervision

Profession Supervision Fee —

$200 + GST for a 50-minute appointment

Lara is a Board Approved and STAP Accredited Supervisor and is available to provide online professional supervision to Registered Psychologists or Provisional Psychologists currently completing their 4+2 or 5+1 internship pathway, as a primary or secondary supervisor.

Is Lara a good fit as your supervisor?

Lara has several years experience in private practice. Lara currently works online only, providing therapy and supervision online via telehealth. Her supervision style is reflective and collaborative, using evidence based practice. Lara has an interest in providing supervision in the following areas —

• Individual therapy for adults

• Complex trauma & PTSD

• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

• Schema Therapy 

• Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

• Early career psychologists in private practice
